Summary
Saynotch keeps your data on your PC. We collect only what we need to sell and license Saynotch. We don't sell data, show ads or run analytics or telemetry in the app.
When you buy
Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy; we never see your card. Paddle shares with us your email address, a customer ID and the transaction ID, which we use to issue and email your licence key.
Our licence server
Our licence server stores your email address, Paddle customer and transaction IDs, your licence status, and for each PC where you activate Saynotch: a random installation key created by Saynotch, the PC's name, and when it last checked in. We use this only to check licences and limit them to 3 PCs. It is hosted on Cloudflare. Licence emails are sent through Resend.
In the app
Saynotch stores its settings, reminders, notes it remembers for you, and clipboard history in a local database on your PC. Your Gemini API key, saved memories and clipboard items are encrypted with Windows' data protection for your user account.
When you hold the voice key, use dictation or ask about part of your screen, Saynotch sends that recording, text or selected screen area, plus saved notes you asked it to remember, directly from your PC to Google Gemini using your own API key. Google processes it under its terms for the Gemini API. Web searches send only the search words to a third-party search service. Saynotch has no other way to send your content anywhere, and none of it passes through our servers.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep licence records for as long as your licence exists and as required for tax and accounting. You can deactivate a PC from Saynotch's Settings, erase Saynotch's local data from its Privacy settings, and ask us to delete or export your licence record by writing to adnan@kabbani.dev.
