Read what stays on your PC

A slim notch that opens up.

Scroll to watch one gesture turn into the whole island.

  1. Just a slim notch at the top of your screen. Nothing else is drawn.

  2. Move your mouse close and Filo drops in on a thread.

  3. Scroll down on the notch. Filo steps down as it opens.

  4. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode, Energy saver, Dark mode, volume and what is playing.

  5. Switch to live CPU, GPU and RAM, then Today, Clipboard, Apps and more.

  6. Hold Right Ctrl and speak. Your words appear in the notch as you say them.

  7. Let go. The answer is spoken back and shown in the notch.

Saynotch is meant to replace the Windows taskbar. Turn the taskbar off in Settings and use the notch instead: a more beautiful, AI-powered and faster way to do what you used to reach down for.

Everything starts with a key you hold or a scroll on the notch.

    Talk to Gemini

    A quick tap or a shortcut like Ctrl+C does nothing. Only a real hold starts listening, and you can change how long it takes in Settings.

  • Left Ctrl+Winhold, speak, release to type

    Dictate into any app

    Hold the two keys, say it, and release. The text is typed where your cursor is.

  • Ctrl+Shifthold 350 ms, then drag on one display

    Ask about part of your screen

    Select a region, then hold Right Ctrl and ask about it. Escape cancels the selection.

  • Scroll ↓on the notch

    Open the Control Centre

    Scroll down on the notch and it opens into your nine tabs. Scroll back or collapse it to tuck it away.

Is there a Dynamic Island for Windows?

Yes. Saynotch is a Dynamic Island for Windows 10 and 11 with an AI voice assistant built in. It lives in a notch at the top of your screen, and you can talk to Gemini, dictate into any app and control your PC from it.

Does Saynotch replace the Windows taskbar?

That is what it is built for. Saynotch is an aesthetic, AI-powered and faster alternative to the taskbar. The notch covers the clock, volume, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, media, launching apps, switching windows and power, and you can hide the Windows taskbar from Settings. Turn it back on whenever you like.

Is the Gemini API key really free?

Yes. You make a key in Google AI Studio without a card, paste it into Saynotch once, and it is stored encrypted on your PC. Anything beyond Google's free tier is between you and Google, and only if you choose to turn billing on.

Is it really a one-time payment?

Yes. $5 once, no subscription and no renewal. Every update for version 1 is included, and your licence works on up to 3 of your own PCs.

What does Saynotch send off my PC?

Your voice and the questions you ask go to Gemini through your own key, and a screenshot is only taken when you select a region and ask. There is no analytics or telemetry in the app, and your key, saved memories and clipboard items are encrypted for your Windows account.

Which versions of Windows does it run on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Can I change the shortcuts and the mascot?

Yes. You can assign each shortcut to the keys you prefer, and give the mascot any name and colour you like. Your choices stay on your PC.

Can it delete my files?

Saynotch can send files to the Recycle Bin and can undo its last file change. It does not permanently delete anything on its own.
